Radiant Heating

Radiant heat is simply the transfer of heat from a warm surface to a cold surface. When you pour a hot cup of coffee and hold your hand over the top of the cup you can feel the heat but is that what we mean by radiant heat? NO, what you are feeling is the warmth of the air created by the hot coffee. Radiant heat is the warmth you feel when you hold the cup in your hands. It is the warmth of the coffee heating the cup and being transferred to your hands.
A radiant heating system installed in your home operates on the same principle. A boiler is installed that heats the water which is then pumped throughout your home, typically in tubing under or on top of the floors. You and your home stay warm and comfortable.
